Geared for Gamers Sideway: New York’s narrative revolves around NY free-runner and spray paint artist, Nox. The story kicks-off with Nox and his crew parkouring across rooftops and spray painting various objects while missing posters of a girl fly across the screen. Not long after the opening, Nox tags over a billboard already painted with someone’s logo. Soon, Nox finds himself sucked away into the world of Sideway and discovers that the tag belongs to a villain named Spray. Throughout the single-player campaign Nox will discover Spray’s intentions, and the whereabouts of the missing girl. The narrative is pretty straight-forward with some supernatural paint world twists, and keeps the action moving in this downloadable title. Various bosses, who are revealed as Spray’s henchmen, make their way out of the woodwork(or wallwork) in your journey through various themed levels. Read Full Review

GamesRadar The game’s main failing is its short length, mostly because it’s so fun while it lasts. There are just over a dozen stages, including a few bosses, which can all be completed in one long sitting of three or four hours. Granted, you may want to go back to collect all the tags or work your way to the top of the leaderboards, but it’s a shame the experience comes to an end so quickly. Sideway: New York does end with a big fat “To be continued…” with an obvious hint as to where the next game will take place, so we hope a sequel will add to what makes this game successful.
